Born in Zimbabwe, Africa and moving to Europe in 1999, Craig is an Engineer by trade who has focused on orthopedics for the last nineteen years.
With a career both in contract manufacturing and in the OEM side of the industry as a Technical, Quality and Regulatory Director, Craig can fuse the customer's needs with our offerings. Craig's focus is improving our operations and incorporating our customers' downstream requirements into our processes, adding value far greater than the product itself.
Having designed and developed products, managed regulatory pathways and approvals, spent endless hours in the operation room, attained a University Certificate in Orthopedic Medical Technology and a Post Graduate Certificate in Business Administration on his way to his MBA, he is well-placed to fuse the demands of all stakeholders into the hg strategic offering.
Craig's knowledge of the space, as comprehensive as it is, is second to his passion for contributing to the growth, development and value-adding offerings of hg Medical Group.
Since the beginning of 2024, I have been working as the new Managing Director at hg medical and, in my role as CFO, I am responsible for the commercial management of the group. My team and I are responsible for controlling, treasury, accounting, taxes, and information technology. Our goal is the profitable growth of the group and the further development of hg medical.
After graduating from high school in Weilheim, I studied business administration in Ingolstadt and began my professional career at a large corporation. Several years and a wealth of experience later, I found myself working for a medium-sized company in the technology and automotive industries. Since 2010, I have held various financial management, CFO, and executive management roles. During this time, I have also gained extensive international experience, including as Regional Asia CFO in China in various manufacturing industries.
I am delighted to be able to help shape hg medical's growth path and, together with the great team here at the location and internationally, to offer our customers the best products and the best possible service.
I have been working as an engineer for many years. After completing my mechanical engineering degree, I gained more than 16 years of experience in the aerospace and medical device industries.
In addition to this technical background, I also specialized in the implementation of quality standards and regulatory requirements related to ISO 13485 and CFR 820. Thanks to my skills, I was able to lead the group's quality and regulatory activities as Director of Quality & Regulatory Affairs. Not only did I play a key role in designing and implementing a quality system that considers customer downstream needs and continuously contributes to value creation, but I also built a solid team that can continue this work after transitioning to my current position.
As Strategic Project Director, I am responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategic projects. I ensure that our clients receive comprehensive technical and quality solutions for new projects, technical challenges, or operational technical developments. At hg medical, we believe that this unique offering of in-depth skills at the beginning of every project is immensely helpful for our clients and creates added value throughout the entire product lifecycle. My hybrid approach to technology and quality creates an exceptionally valuable, thorough, and robust approach that enables us to find comprehensive, end-to-end solutions even for highly complex projects.
